i just think its 1 plug into the wii that gives a yellow rca jack, as well as the 3 component colors... not a fix

if uzi is correct, than this would work. if it does work, then i wonder if using a s-video to composite(RCA yellow) connecter to hook it up to an older TV would work, or if it would just re-combine the signal to make black and white again. that would be like a 20$ fix if it works. i may try it tomorrow.

I went out today and bought $15 Wii component cables from FYE... fixed all the B&W problems.

the reason why its working with his dvdrecorder is cause he got the S-Video out put to his tv .. so the a/v cables from the wii goes thru the dvdrecorder and then out puts to SVIDEO which is like componet cables that hd tv use and other types of tv

I think that it is. It seperates the color and brightness signals like component does, and composite does NOT. I think that is whhy the component displays in color - i'll bet the wii s-video connectors will show in color and not black and white.

component is different in the fact that they can support up to 720p svideo is still an iterlaced video interface.

Quick question - I have an HD tv (Samsung) but the standard cables. Is there a setting on the TV that I can adjust to get the games to play in color? Help is appreciated.
