Ok uumm...

NTSC Wii running a 1:1 copy of Dance dance hottest party 2 NTSC on WiigatorBackupLoaderv0.3 works perfectly for me. The ONLY problem is that on the main menu (not song selection) the music stops for 2 seconds and plays for 2 seconds. Other than that it works great!

cooler89... how can it be done? pls tell me what cios you using and what order. thanks. i only can see banner, but error when loaded in disc channel. BULoader works PERFECT though! THANKS WIIGATOR N WANINKOKO!

I'm having a strange problem in that my burned ntsc copy of Party Games 2 loaded just fine earlier today with version 3 of wiigator but when I tried this evening it mostly fails to even recognize or load the disk. It is a nonpatched copy. It sometimes will load the disk and act like it's going to load but hangs. I can hear it reading but it just sits there. Btw, I can load an ntsc copy off Mario Kart Wii with no problems. Any ideas?

anyone?

Sounds like a bad burn to me.

I burned the first time with nero at 4x, second time at 2.4x with imageburner and the same thing happens. Could it be the iso file? and if so is there any way to check if it is bad? Btw I burned mario sluggers and it works just fine.

Big Brain Academy is fun!

Thanks Wiigator :V

EDIT; oh yeah I just felt like saying
ImgBurn, Verbatim Data Life Plus DVD-R @ 4x
Backuploader0.3 channel
????
PROFIT!!

It could be the disc type (minus R are the best)
It could be the burner itself
It could be a corrupt image
It could be a game that isnt on the compatibility list

No real way to check a bad image im afraid unless you try patching it and see if the patcher for the old games fails - then its defo a bad image , but even if it works it wont guarantee a good image.

You can't load them from the disk channel, or not yet at least, Nice try,

You can get the backup loader wad, and use it on the system menu, but that isnt considered the disk channel.

Load Menu Loader, select IOS249, and pop in a 1:1 Wii game and go to the disc channel.

But when you go to load it, it'll give you the eject error. At least for me it does.

EDIT:: Just noticed the 'not yet' part, maybe you already knew, oh well.

I have one question...why is it such an issue to be able to load from the disc channel that the Nintendo has on their from factory? If you can put a wad on in the main channel and load from that then what's the problem?! I like the idea of having 2 channels one for originals and the other for backups.... It's not hard to teach a 5 year old the difference either...one has your handwriting or maybe a print from some CD cover burner...but to me.... I think that Wiigator deserves to have his own channel dedicated to the backups... also further more it let's you pop up a menu to help load the game the way you need it to...

This is only my opinion... as for the loader's imcompatibility issues of now... We knew this from the start that he was going to release this to the public. So the ones that keep bitching about not being able to get a game working that everyone else seems to have no problems with... then it's more likely your fault..
I have 3 different burners... .and the one I use to burn all my games w/ is a LITE-ON DVDRW LH-20A1P KLON (USB)...I got it from Walmart..for around $50 (the avg cost of newly released Wii game)...
I know I said that I burn with IMGBurn 2.4.2 (latest)... I buy my discs at Walmart...$15 for 50 Memorex DVD+R or DVD-Rs (I've even used the HP brand discs) I have not tried any DVD-RWs..but one and that was w/ the 1st launcher when it 1st released...2.4x speed is recommended by alot of us from the beginning. (Again, dust your PC and Wii off or break out a Hustler)

For the expert that was talking about CDfreaks or whatever it was called... that's just making it complicated.... and burn it with whatever speed you want!? OK... It's really all a matter of opinion...
but if go with the flow and most likely you will have the success that we've had on the current compatible games.

I'm sorry if this sounds like a bitch-session...but the fact is if your a new guy....then research this stuff. Most of you are in school probably so it's not like you don't know how to. Google and Wikipedia are friends not foes... Wiibrew is a good ally to have as well. When I heard about the Wan leak and reregestered back on here... I didn't even attempt to try Wan's leaked loader... I read thread after thread... I found some people that were serious about helping..(ahem! DJTaz) And I told him about being nervous about trying it in the risk of a bricked Wii... (I have still not heard of one yet that has..)
I've heard of some errors installing different stuff but people were able to recover.

Bottom line. I know it's 292 pages just on this one thread alone...not counting the others...but read!
And then read again! If you are that interested, then you will. Don't be afraid to ask someone (PM them)... Myself or DJTaz and quite a few others are here to take some load off Wiigator and Wan...
If you are having trouble still...wait until something more official comes out and don't let Nintendo update your Wii.

I apologize if I offended anyone this is not directed at the people that have been here since the project started... but if you would just print out the install text and watch a few videos off You Tube... (That's what I did)... Just like in my line of work... Measure twice and cut once... Same applies here.

If you are new and still have problems and no one will help.... give me a PM. I just think some of these questions are getting ridiculous. And I'm not just talking about the ones in this thread.. I just think it boils down to people really not knowing what they are doing because they want to skip to the dessert first...if ya know what I mean.

Trust me i have tried it and it works through disc channel 1:1 backups and i am not joking

Pokemon Battle Revolution PAL 1:1 was working before. Now I get the disc cannot be read error.
I tried the read retry fix, and also i tried Waninkokos cIos36. No luck.
Anyone with the same prob?

Is it normal with the backup of Dragon Ball Z 3 JAP burned in 4x with a Verbatim DVD-R that the online mode is slow ?

I burnt at 2.4x cheap non-brand dvd-r and its working.

edit:
By the Pokemon Battle Revolution is working fine

. Believe it or not, it seems that any 1:1 backup that I burnt to a Sony DVD-R doesnt work.... also had 2 Wi-Fi battles, works EXCELLENT!

I see lots of discussion going on about the disc read errors and how to properly burn dvds. Im suprised noone have linked to the Official GBAtemp thread about burning wii software yet. Many times higher burn speeds result in less errors if u have a new burner.

I myself get the "error reading disc" message when playing disaster day of crisis and it happens on one of the cutscenes. Perhaps someone who have theese disc errors can test the dvdinfopro program to see if the discs are badly burnt or if it may be a problem with the loader itself? i cant test it becouse my burner doesnt allow it.

Hahaha, Okay... how did you do it without a modchip then?

Any special program you used?

I was going to try out Wiigator's 0.1 beta again but when I run the cIOS installer it connects to the server but then gives me this error:
Failed to allocate temp buffer for encrypted content, size was .....

Doesn't Wiigator's old cIOS installer dol work anymore?

BTW, I know I could install from a WAD so please answer my question anyway, thanks

There is a video on the youtube only showing you how to show backups on disc channel but thats old news but now i got the dol file for the menu loader from wiigator for loading 1:1 backups and it does not have Nothing is written to the NAND, this runs only on the broadway. You need to select IOS249 and activate the IOS249 patch and yes it does work but for newer games like spiderman web of shadows it will detect a modchip and then it wont start like spiderman web of shadows but all the other old games 1:1 loads fine

All games give BOTH "No disc" and ident errors.

Can't figure out what's wrong. I'm trying both homemade and downloaded backups (all of games i own and that are "confirmed" working) and each time it gives BOTH errors, overlapped on each other on the screen. I'm using plain DVD-R media, single layer, 1x speed.

burn it quicker than 1x speed, thats really slow, what brand DVD?
Also you installed the CIOS and backup launcher correctly?
