Yatashi Strife, searchforglory, I have both of those problems. Good to see I am not the only person on the internet who can't get this thing working. Hopefully we can solve our problems together.

I tried "extractpartition" now. For every iso I get this error message: "cannot open root-key: No such file or directory". I have no clue what to do with it.
put the iso in the same folder as the common key and the patcher file
drag the iso onto the patcher program
or you can also right click on the iso and use open with and find the patcher

but you must have the iso file in the same folder as the patcher and common key files for this to work

He is trying to use extractpartition, the wiigator tool, not the patching tool provided by waninkoko. Also, he is most likely on linux.

o ok sorry my bad
so i cant compile this my self being on windows?

I have the same problem as searchforglory. I'm using Ubuntu. Also, when I use XP, I can no longer use backup-creator.exe via the "open with" method. I did it once but never worked again.

I have a problem were when i go to right click on the iso and hit open with. i select backup creator and now it wont show up in the menu. i am unable to use backup creator anymore. is there a different way to use backup creator? i tryed drag and drop iso but it says no title. i got mario sluggers to work fine.

yeah, i used to be able to do the right click, open with thing; now i have to do it in a dos box - it's the only thing that will work. weird.

you can either right click on the iso and select open with or simply drag and drop the iso onto the patcher

you need just one. Hopefully we get this fixed soon

****EDIT*****

Rename Backup-creator.exe to anything like backup-creator222.exe
then right click iso and open with and find backup-creator222.exe

That worked for me! and i guess if you have the problem just keep renaming it!

In dos, you go to run in the start menu and type in cmd,exe . Once you get a dos prompt window open, type cd "Directory of the iso and patcher". I would make this a folder on the desktop to make it easier. Now you can use the patcher by typing backup-creator.exe the_iso.iso.

Now, back to the extractpartition app not working.

Why don't you guys just drag the ISOs to Backup Creator.exe?
That's the easiest method of doing it, unless you manually add a "Patch ISO" option to the context menu.

because that doesn't work

HERES HOW I FIXED THE PROBLEM

Also, backup-creator seems to work under wine. I can't guarantee this, but it doesn't give any errors.

Can someone help me figure out why ios249 and the dvd library don't want to play nice on my wii?
