Ummmmm, actually by far more ppl buy there games than not, trust me it's a small percentile of ppl who know how to mod, (even if that means just following a tutorial) as per compared to the millions of ppl who are to afraid to even attempt messing around with that kind of stuff. Not just to prove you wrong, i'm just saying my bit.

I have tried making a channel yet so im not sure how its done , but i may take a look and see what i can come up with. Thanks again for that version , it does make it easier.

I dont use the channels much either to be honest , but i know a few that will but they dont hack at all so they need the easiest way possible to load a game hence the channel request.

The Zip file that i have in my signature gets about 20 downloads a day. I like to keep it up to date with the best of the latest changes. The new Cios_fix is great but it has lost out on the easy clicking and loading feature. ppc_gba resolved that with his modification which is also great , but there is no channel for it and the channels that are in my zip use the old system that wont play some of the games the new one did.

Now since so many download the zip i did want to have a simple system for everyone to be able to use without it being too complicated for anyone , hence the channel request and why i keep updating with all of these 'little changes'.

The system i have myself works fine and i also have a modded wii , so im not asking these things for myself, its for the rest of the community. I would do it if i was able to myself , but at present i havent even tried it and i dont want to brick a wii while attempting when so may others have the knowledge.

Also , I have contributed to the community by writing a how to and helping others by zipping most of the files they need so i believe im entitled to make a request that will benifit the overall community without killing you by 'asking for shit' .

que este ultimo no necesitas más que ejecutarlo, y con el otro, tenias que seleccionar el hook-type a GC pad para funcionar con el cIOS_fix, entiendes...??

The Wii will recognise both DVD+R and DVD-R discs as it is. The discs are not the issue.
The mode in which the discs are burnt is the problem - if you get it wrong , the discs cant be read.

Think of it this way ... if you burn a load of MP3's onto a CD, they will burn , but you cant play them in most normal CD players - its the same idea - the data is on the disc , but not in a format that can be read by the wii, so you need to burn a DVD+r in the correct format for it to work.

ok, i don't know what loader you're using but since ur are a coder, don't have my word, however, i burnt about 5 times the a patched iso (Tales of NTSC JAP) on 4 DVD+R (patched with backup creator, used imgburn, 2.4x), and none of the two actuals loaders succed reading. But when i tried with a DVD-R then waninkoko's loader failed, but wiigator's one succeed well (admitting the lag in scenes). And on many forums, u can read that DVD-R work better on the WII than anothers... Well i was thinking if there wasn't a way to shunt the WII DVD drive by modifying the DVD label at the source, considering that WII DVD are simple DVD before the burning process...

Thinking about WII hack, i don't know if someone here knows that, but the 1st serial of the number you got by buying a wii point card determinate the region where ur card is coming from

So far some faster loading times (still 3x, just done more efficiently)
movies are stilllaggy (this wont be sloved until the 3x issue is patched, if ever)
no longer need DVDx to install the loader
game compatability imroved a bit

For any other Testers, please update the compatability list with your new results. just put "BETA 0.2" in the notes. or maybe someone can jsut add the new column.

I then proceeded to load CIOS36_rev5-64-v1042... following a reboot .. then i installed gold disk launcher.. reboot to be safe.... then i installed dvdx ios249

Burned a prepatched game that worked on the other consoles using memorex dvd-r at 2x and 4x....

I get dvd indentify error.. Ive used these before on my chipped wii and it worked. but i never used these for the backup loader i was using before maxell.


Question::::: Am i doing something wrong or is it the media? i mean this isn't the first time i do this...

Yes it works but you have to set the hook type to gc pad in the options
