I was just about to link that , thanks Screemer.

Maharis just installed the fix and didnt do anything else and it worked for him.

I did the following :
1. Uninstall the DVDx - then
2. Uninstall the CIOS thats in there
3. Reinstall the new Fixed IOS and
4. Re-install DVDx with advanced mode like the old one on 249
5. Change the VI mode to GC pad

That worked for me, but i probably didnt need to do that.

Can someone confirm if you need or DO NOT need to uninstall DVDx or cios 5/6 ?
Is it safe to just install the cios_fix over the current setup? What do you recommend?

yes and a pal console don´t work (i´m portuguese guy sorry for my inglish)i try to use it in my and medal of honor gets green screen.
i have une question . what that new cios do better than the older?please answer me in a easy inglish

hey i just installed the fix only removed wan's cios and installed fix wad mariokart works and super mario galaxy no longer
freezes underwater nice work ppc_gba! thnx guys

I installed cios_fix over the the previous cios without uninstalling DVDx and it works just fine, no problems.

I figured I couldn't be bothered having the old cios laying around, so I uninstalled it. Will report progress.

Mmmmmm..... not sure if was the fix_cIOS, but i was playing today Mario Kart 64 with my "W" and the first player does not reproduce any sound, wierd, I couldn't do any test because of time, but I'll keep you posted, maybe I'm just gonna delete and re-download, see if that works...!!!

there is no version 0.2. waninkokos and wiigators loader both work better with the cios_fix.

haha lol at ppl upset at buying a game for $50. maybe u should just get a modchip. i was considering a d2lite until this came out.
i'm not really sure the cios_fix needs a new topic, since its just a small fix based on info from this thread.

if any 1 knows more info about wii memory addresses could be used for a secondary buffer, let me know. it helps everyone the more it gets explained.
of course, i can't wait to see if waninkoko has actually solved the slow loading speed problem. it could be his hacked dip replacement module doesn't not need to copy data from a buffer location.

also, maybe the creation of a hacked mios for gc backups could also be possible. since the mios is a simple ios which loads the gc ipl (another bios?), it might be possible to reprogram a real ios with full wii hardware support to load the gc bios, at which point we might offer hacked dvd access through a dip module with the function names changed somehow so they appear to be the appropriate gc dvd read commands but use the same exploit. at the very least we might be able to have sd support from gc mode, and run sd boot.

Actually Zack and Wiki didnt work with fixed cios for me, i'm sticking to the rev6 from WiiGator from now.
