Hacking Backup Launcher by Wiigator

For those having Problems

Use, a good Make of DVD's, Specfically Use DVD-R Discs.
Burn at 4x using IMGBurn, but before burning, Patch iso with Backup-creator.exe
Make sure LibDi has been installed onto your wii (DVDX)
Get Backuploader0.1.dol and boot using Homebrew channel, Insert disc and have fun.

Note:If you use DVD+R try changing the booktype to DVD-ROM if not, it still may work but some people claim DVD-ROM is better.

Has anyone tried Boom Blox [PAL] yet on this new loader? I have downloaded it (the game), but I think something went wrong when burning...

Also, I cannot get WiiFrii 2.3b to work, and I have an NTSC Wii, but do I even need to patch it to NTSC-U or can I force it within the program itself? Thanks!

Use the option FORCE NTSC and the game should work fine. That's what I did.

i know deba is working on the banner but anyone else had made a better channel with better graphics and the dol is injected the old we have the graphics suck and some text issues so deba get back to us soon and if anyone else knows that there is a channel for the backup launcher if someone has made it post it and i am talking about the psycon channel which isnt that great so if anyone has done it yet let us know

Does the channel version (or original) still require a patched IOS and DVDX?

OK so in order to do this I need to install custom firmware right? What are the dangers of this? Can I go back to normal Nintendo firmware? What if a game requires I update to the latest Nintendo firmware while I have the custom? What if I try to install the newest one? If all else fails can the iso's of games that require a install of a official firmware be hacked so they no longer do?

This is my last fear regarding trying this. That and bricking my Wii but a lot of people have tried it and seem to have no problems.
EDIT: Has a compiled version of the WiiGator ISO patch for windows been uploaded?

Waninkoko's back up creator? I think so but I haven't tried so I can't be sure.

Yes you can, all my backups are patched with Wanin's executable and work fine. :>

Nothing, you install the CIOS wad, after that you install DVDx with IOS249. Then you can patch your iso and burn it and play it through the backup launcher.

must say this loader works very well thanks to it i went out a bought another 3 games today (i support games if there good) i bought Paper Mario, De Blob, and Starwars

Now RM3E (Metriod Prime 3:Corruption) NTSC-U, Works.
and RYWE (Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree) NTSC-U and PAL works (before green screen of death)

I have and NTSC-U 3.3 wii, i tryed to edit the list on http://maschell.de/mediawiki-1.6.10/index.php/Main_Page, but i'm such an ass, and I think now all of the games with the problem of the "GREEN SCREEN OF DEATH" now should work but we have to waste DVD's to know i wish I didn't throw away my Wii Sports, damm...!!!
