I've got an Acekard 2i, using AKAIO 1.6 RC1.

I am fully capable of transferring via FTP and web interfaces like many of the backup tools require.
I've tried to back up my platinum cart's save with many tools, but some refuse to recognize the game cart, and the ones that do and send a save only send 8KB of blank data.
After asking around and seeing other people's threads, it seems none of the tools at that time (which was weeks ago) could work with the DSi properly.

Can anybody confirm that any current save tool works on a DSi?

I've been looking around and have come to the same conclusion as you. It would be great to know if any of the current methods work on a DSi.

It's apparently a compatibility thing.

I'd suggest using sav sender. While it is a bit more complicated, it was made especially for the DSi (and it's one of the only ways to do the DSi save exploit on the dsi enhanced games).

I just tried Rudolph's Wifi Dumper and it didn't work. It says that the DSi hardware does not work. You then click A to confirm and your screen goes black.

What's the DSi save exploit?

The "DSi Save Exploit" is a glitch that was found in a DSi-enhanced game that allows for DSi-mode homebrew. But the exploit isn't public yet.
