Hacking Backing up, Formatting, Then Restoring SD Card

Just wondering if I can put all of my SD card files onto my laptop, format it, do something else real quick with it, then put everything back and have the device work the exact same as before. If it helps, I have a New 2DS Xl.

It should work. If it doesn't, you can copy the files onto another SD card and it should work properly.

What are you trying to format it to?

It will work just fine, everything is tethered to the content of the microSD not the card itself.

Assuming you're not one of the few people still using an emuNAND, this will work just fine.
