I have not updated my DS software in forevers and I am having trouble with a movie. For this reason, I downloaded MoonShell 2.00 Beta 5 English "GBAtemps official translation."

I figure that anyone can make mistakes so I scanned the download with Avira AntiVir. AntiVir wants to quarintine the rar file.

I am not that bright so I am asking you guys to explain this to me. Please.

"During the scan a virus or unwanted program was found.

Starting the file scan:

Begin scan in 'E:\R4 NDS PC\MoonShell 2009.02\[4765]MoonShell_2.00_Beta_5_English.rar'

[0] Archive type: RAR
--> MoonShell 2.00 Beta 5 English\Misc Tools\IPK Maker - Image Tool\imgview111.zip
[1] Archive type: ZIP
--> imgview111/misc/ヤjムᄍIPKテtテ@テCテヒマCユワテcチ[テヒ.exe
[DETECTION] Is the Trojan horse TR/Dldr.TAI
[NOTE] The file was moved to '49cd4be0.qua'!

End of the scan: Friday, February 13, 2009 22:42

Antivir gets some false positives occasionally, just like any other antivirus software. As long as you're downloading from a trusted place, you can probably ignore the error.

Two things:
1). Avast 4.8 with the latest update detects no problems with the file.
If you ever want to check for a false positive, use http://www.virustotal.com/
Here's the VirusTotal results from the zip file I have downloaded.
Before you use the results I have provided please verify your own copy matches my own:
imgview111.zip (3797374 bytes)
CRC32: DE4E0959
md5: 2ef7bb11984d4db7d2b821e610619df4

2). The archive, and the whole folder itself, is only extras -- tools you can use but don't need to.
You can delete the first two folders, Manuals and Misc Tools, and still run Moonshell on your DS.
