I find such things tend to illustrate how badly most politicians misunderstand technology.

Anyhow excuse me while I go open a cheap VPN hosting outfit somewhere in eastern Europe, looks like a lot of people will be needing such services soon. Looking around it will probably be a DNS level of a crude proxy which is not hard to work around.

and i´m clearly against Child Porn but the problem here is first of all this doesn´t change anything for this perverts i mean as if they would use normal i-net sites or so (and anyway there are still workarounds) and second nobody really controlls this stupid list so they can even put other sites on it that they don´t like or whatever. There was even a petition against but it seems as nobody of this politicians was interested about that.
And it goes on with so known "Killergames" that they want to forbid here.

It´s just ridicoulus especially since this is all against our law but we have soon elections and it seems as everyone tries to play the good one here.

Meh, just create an underground game trading. Somebody outside the country get the game, the Aussie send the money (ie: Paypal) to the outsider, who ship it into Australia.

Shouldn't be that hard, and I highly doubt they will begin checking all the packages going through.

That's nothing. Over here there was a grade 5 teacher with hundreds of child porn images on his computer. His story: He says he thought one of his students was being abused, so he sifted through all the child p0rn sites and downloaded the images trying to see if the kid was on them.

Actually not at all. Communism is the system invented by Karl Marx which involves all people sharing everything, so to avoid poverty, injustice, and (unfortunately) richness. It doesn't really work out, though.

In any case, I'm very sensitive, and most M games (except awesome ones like HALO) are rather disturbing to me. If I was in Australia, I'd just import HALO and keep playing my E - T games.
