When I play online i see that lots of players don't use the quick recovery after the getting hit by the POW block. Its you can execute it by pressing up on the D-pad(Game Cube controller).

I hope this will make online play more exciting.

Reasons why this helps.
- After being hit you will remain your original speed
- If you are first place, drivers behind you will lose there weapons.
- You can over take a player who doesn't use this.
- You will win more matches.

Its a quick recovery saves like 5 sec. You will spin once instead of 5 times and will remain your speed afterwards.

And for people using anything but the GC-controller?

up on the d-pad is the mapping for stunts , so i guess that shaking the remote/wheel like doing a stunt will do..

thanks for the tip!

i dont' get it... the up button for classic controller is doing a wheelie when ur using a motorcycle

On gamecube controller Up is also wheelie. Just press up when your about to get hit by POW-blocks. Or shake it on wii-mote.

thanks a lot for the tip , i used it a lot yesterday, and it sure handled the difference between staying 1st and coming 3rd... :-)

by the way , how do i drag a green shell/single banana behind me (saw some players doing it).

Some says jumping threee times with a good synchro will completely prevent the pow block making you spin.

Don't know if it works or not.
