@Draxzelex Just finished backing up my nand, my switch is 4.1.0. Between 5.1.0, 6.0.1, and 6.1.0 which version is better to update to (are there any issues with any of those versions?) Using atmosphere.
5.1 is still considered the best firmware for CFW but most of the important features are supported on 6.1. Not sure why anyone would use firmware 6.0.1 though, it holds no advantages over 5.1 that you can find in 6.1@Draxzelex Just finished backing up my nand, my switch is 4.1.0. RajNX is basically Atmosphere with Hekate slapped onto it.
But if you want a real answer, RajNX won't be receiving anymore updates while Atmosphere will so when a new firmware update comes out that breaks RajNX, rajkosto won't fix it meaning you will have to use another CFW.
And to prevent the gamecard reader from updating when using Atmosphere, you would use the nogc version of these patches.
You can downgrade your firmware with ChoiDujourNX as well.Thanks.
I didn't realize that the nogc patches actually disable the card reader from working. I just updated my 2.1.0 fw to 6.1.0 (without burning fuses) but didn't dump my carts yet. So now I need to downgrade my fw (by restoring the NAND backup?) in order to dump my carts and then update again? Ugh what a hassle, it's going to take a long time
Oh cool. I guess that would be the quicker way to do it.You can downgrade your firmware with ChoiDujourNX as well.

But you must choose the erase all save data option, or else you'll get a semibrickOh cool. I guess that would be the quicker way to do it.
Are you referring to ChoiDujourNX or ChoiDujour? Because ChoiDujourNX does not have that option and I've downgraded numerous times. But you must choose the erase all save data option, or else you'll get a semibrick
The exact name of the option is "System Initialize (full factory reset)". I'm pretty sure it's required if you downgrade from one major version to another (4.1 to 2.2 for example), I've downgraded from 5.1.0 to 1.0.0 and 2.0.0-13 before and with both of those firmwares my system semibricked (until I manually deleted all the save data with hacdiskmount, or restored a nand backup) unless I selected that optionAre you referring to ChoiDujourNX or ChoiDujour? I've been on every firmware under the Sun (except 4.0) with my fuse count sitting at 5 meaning my original firmware is 4.X and I have save files for Super Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I mess around with a lot of stuff as well so I don't know what could have went wrong in your case. I usually try really hard to break CFW/homebrew.The exact name of the option is "System Initialize (full factory reset)". Edit: idk maybe something changed since I've last messed around with this stuff
This is a spare new Switch that I just unboxed and hacked, didn't play anything on it yet (so no save data). Had it in storage since August of last year (hence the 2.1.0 fw).But you must choose the erase all save data option, or else you'll get a semibrick
Is it possible to change the splash in the atmosphere launched through fusee1-2?
[stage2]
custom_splash = [path to splash file]
Great, thanks! Yes, it is not in the documentation. It would be great to know about all possible configurations.Yes. I'm not sure if this was ever documented (I'll be reviewing the documentation in depth anyway), but you can replace the splash screen by adding the following in BCT.ini:
The format is the same as hekate's: 32bit BMP in 720 x 1280 (rotated 90 degrees if in landscape).Code:[stage2] custom_splash = [path to splash file]

@_hexkyz_ Unfortunately I failed. Settings below. splash.bmp is in the sd root and works correctly in hekate. Where did I make a mistake?
Code:BCT0 [stage1] stage2_path = fusee-secondary.bin stage2_addr = 0xF0000000 stage2_entrypoint = 0xF0000000 [stage2] custom_splash = splash.bmp
Hi ehh, I am very sorry to be hijacking a post here but i am semibricked myself but because of my stupidity, i tried to restore a nand backup from 6.0 to 5.1 with burnt fuses(I fed up). Using a guide here i tried to boot 6.0 with choj with no success. I have backups of boot0,1 sys and rawnand from 5.1 and only rawnand from 6.0 (I feel Stupid.). What do you guys propose i do? You could restore the 5.1 backup (both boot and rawnand) and boot it with Hekate or Fusee (they bypass the fuse checks), then update using ChoiDujourNX (the homebrew one) to 6.0Hi ehh, I am very sorry to be hijacking a post here but i am semibricked myself but because of my stupidity, i tried to restore a nand backup from 6.0 to 5.1 with burnt fuses(I fed up).
