Its not even about the exploit lol...

Its the fact that the console will stay in 3.02 and after the payload it should then load emunand on latest FW making it a install and dont do anything else to stay on last FW, no need for Auto RCM garbage... And I also prefer totally testing beta or untested stuff and prefer not even touching sysnand and leaving intact and do all the testing in the emunand CFW environment. I would also love a nightly build by some trustful communities and wouldnt mind testing them all like the XBMC on Xbox Original back then.

And about the exploit I don't mind using atmosphere with RCM+payload and wait for the warmboot exploit or maybe even get a chance for coldboot even if I have to wait 2 or 3, 4... years, I will never update my console's FW anyway...

Also since 3.02 uses the same e-fuse as 3.01, means I should totally be able to go back to 3.01 too.

Not for me specially by the fact that I dont ever leave any of my devices in standby other than the phone because its really needed to receive phone calls...

I always turn OFF my console and wont ever be using sleep mode if I know I won't play in the next like 30 minutes...

And then there's the other reason which I might turn the console ON play a bit and not even use it for months like my PS4 since I have been playing only on PC and the console stayed OFF for a year. Same to my 3DS I use it from months to months lol

Last time I used my Nvidia Shield Tablet in sleep, I forgot about it and didnt use it for like a month, then it took me 2 days to make it turn ON as nothing made the sucker to turn ON :)

Which means Auto-RCM is not for me, specially because I totally will mod my controller with a ON\OFF Switch when I find a cool one and when atmosphere gets fully released, then the chip is also not 4 me as they eat battery and I will surely forget about at the Switch for months at some point and might end with a ~0V Li-ion that may or may not come back to life ;)...

So you're waiting for reswitched's release of Atmosphere to implement emunand yourself?
You're being a little bit delusional if you think someone is releasing it any time soon.

To everyone waiting for the "OFFICIAL" release, it won't change much from what we have now. Are you aware the gmail stayed in beta for almost a decade?

Auto RCM isn't as bad as you think....it work flawlessly witouth problems even if you fully discharge your battery (but this is unlikely if you are smart)
SciresM said that until Mariko no warmboot ,so you waiting for months at best...for nothing because you can easily downgrade later ....
The thing is if he claims he wants to wait till the mariko units seeing rcm and the webkit exploit not working anymore means he has another entry point nobody knows about. How could he test the warmboot exploit otherwise without an entry point ?

You appear to be misinformed about both those things (easy enough considering the forum is full of bad information). Neither AutoRCM or a Trinket will drain the battery any more than usual as long as the Switch is powered off properly. Every instance of battery drain stems from people who don't know that the Switch boots back to RCM after a normal shutdown, or from people who didn't do the Trinket install that turns it off whenever the Switch is off.

Not saying you should use either of those methods, but lets not propagate bad information.

I read a lot of different stuff here, just a quick question to make things clear.

I have a patched switch unfortunately, but will atmosphere work on my patched switch on 4.1.0 when it releases? Does it use the Deja Vu exploit instead of Fusee Gelee? Thanks!

Gmail is completely different and easily far more complex to set up both on hardware and software level. Of course it took ten years.

People can wait for Atmosphère if they want to, there's nothing wrong with it. And if they want it to release a bit faster they can work on it too and make some pull requests.

I think you missed the point here. Gmail was in beta because Google wanted it to be in beta. When a product has been working in production for years with hundreds of millions of users, you can't really say that the product isn't suitable for use, can you?

The same applies to Atmosphere. Do you sincerely believe reswitched team and sciresm don't take pride in their work and don't believe it works? It just happens that they haven't finished implementing all features THEY intended to be present in the first release. But as far as the common user is concerned, for the best or the worse, it won't change much, since its completely straight-forward to play "legal backups" now.

But I agree with you, if people want to wait, let them wait. Is just that the guy I initially replied posted a lot of bullshit and it's really hard to restrain myself from writing a salty comment. He resembles one those parents that won't let their kids have vaccines because it causes autism. ˜flies away

So bottom line is, the method of installing and maintaining a CFW won't change with Atmosphere's release?

What is it that differentiates Atmosphere from currently available CFW:s? I've been waiting for something a bit less complicated and user friendly to be released, something akin to how CFW was on the PS3, is Atmosphere that or do the other CFW:s already do this?

The other cfw are based on incomplete parts of atmosphere,so no much difference for now.

So if the other CFW:s are based on incomplete parts of Atmosphere, what benefits will there be from "completing" those parts? Any notable differences at all? Like more user friendly, more features, or anything?

More stable feature?
Other than that it will provide the same features. Tho it is Atmosphere that is always used for packs and sysmodules...

If you're not planning on going online then why are you worried about being banned?
I don't plan on going online but I might change my mind later if a game comes out that I'd like to play online. I'm fine with "banning myself" because this way I can "unban myself" by just disabling airplane mode and entering my wifi credentials, if Nintendo bans you it's one and done. I'm just preserving my options for the future.

Atmosphere is juat a CFW, you need an entry point to be able to install it. Right now Deja Vu is known to work on 4.1.0 but there is no release date for it. So you have to wait then.

i am looking for a Switch CFW that after install, i could update to the latest available FW now and download my purchase from the eShop without getting ban. ideally, it can cold boot.
is there such a release?

i am on 3.0.0, day one unit.
