Misc AT&T s5 homepass?

I've been trying for a while to get homepass working on my AT&T Galaxy S5, android version 4.4.4. It seems that no matter what method I use, when the hotspot is started from the app, it says "Please wait while verifying", and then the hotspot closes, and the MAC address resets. It seems that the hotspot is checking for the correct MAC, and if its incorrect/spoofed, the hotspot won't start and it will reset the mac.

Any tips/ideas?

The same thing is happening on my galaxy Avant. :/
