Crystaltile2 then- it has table support (ASCII is far from universal) and a bunch of options useful for translation (searching, a simple pointers option).

Equally if it is just table support http://www.romhacking.net/?category=13&amp...itle=&desc= has a bunch. Many of these editors do not have the greatest set of other features for more general rom hacking use (hence most hackers rocking a bunch of editors to go with their mood).
