I went from A9 to v1.2 B9 I think. I don't remember going to B9 1.1 then to 1.2... wish I knew what was causing crashes, especially since I can't go back to using Gateway

Gateway still works if you're on 11.2 or lower, you need v2gw.bin and BootCtr9 (you possibly don't even need BootCtr9 if you convert v2gw.bin to .firm and chainload it with Luma) There's a guide on the forum somewhere.
Try the legacy Luma build from https://astronautlevel2.github.io/Luma3DS/
It has Rosalina removed so it should be just as stable as 7.x.

That's the only crash I've had so far but the only game I use in my 3dses is my R4i gold...Ok I use Themely too, but I have no crashes with that...

It's no coincidence that all of these crashes started with Luma 8.0. There are some nice features, but the crashes aren't worth it.
I wonder how much testing NTR-CFW went through to become as stable as it is, as it is basically the same sort of thing as Rosalina but seems completely stable.

Why is it that I DON'T get crashes (so far)? I don't think my 3ds is different from others, so why don't I get crashes in FBI and/or Themely...or with 3ds games?

Really, the crashes are in a small minority of users, but given that they're the only ones with issues, they're the only ones who post, and it seems like they're far more prominent than they are.

I know B9 supports Luma 8 and above, but since the Arm11 crashes seem to be with those, is there a way to use lower Luma with B9? Can Luma 7s be used with B9? Thoughts and help appreciated

I already went to 11.3 or 11.4...

Luma 7.1 supports b9s, but you'd have to downgrade to b9s v1.0/v1.1.

You can downgrade B9S if you have a backup from B9S 1.0
