Hello! Is it safe to play out of region games as long as you don't go online? I wanted to download Pokemon Moon with Ciangel, but it's only available in EUR and JPN. I don't want to get my 2ds bricked, but there's no USA download. Really sorry if this has an obvious answer to it, I'm still pretty new to this homebrew stuff. Thank you!

With a cfw like luma you can run out of region games with no issues. If you didn't have cfw I think the DS would just refuse to play the game but it couldn't brick from it.
Last I checked though I thought Pokemon was region free for sumo.

Pokemon S/M/US/UM were all region-free, so it really doesn't matter what region you download them from. You will not brick for playing out of region games and with CFW you can play out of region games without any hassle.

Other than being laughed at for using CIAngel over freeShop? Nope. If you want to avoid bans, don't play those games online (though you typically need to use something like EULA Setter to get out-of-region games working online anyway), though you're unlikely to get banned regardless.

Oh, okay. Thanks! If I could, I would use Freeshop, but it gave me an error when I tried to open it.
