Gaming are there any good free co op games

hi im poor and looking for games to play on pc with my friend does any one have any ideas

I am not much of a PC gamer, but I hear Team Fortress 2 and Fortnite are both free to play and somewhat good.

Could also spring for an emulator with netplay.

Neither of those are what I would traditionally think of as co-op games.

Anyway not sure what is available for free these days.
I usually find enough going for next to nothing when the desire for co-op appears.

I absolutely agree for Sven coop, it's a bit tricky to move around this game because of the infinite number of maps and modification but still, at the same time, it provides tons of fun.

BTW a big yes also ti Team Fortress 2 too, it has some nice coop modes and events yet the game is mainly PvP... Still today one of the best multiplayer games around

Edit: ouch I forgot other entries like No More Room in Hell and Zombie Panic, both available for free on steam.
