Now that I've (almost) got a DS Lite, my old DS Phat is in the process of being fixed by Old School Gamer, I was wondering:
I have a DS-X(the first ones that came out)
and a SuperCard MiniSD slot-2 too.

Seeing everybody talking about the new shiny R4s and Cyclos, I want to ask:

-Did I come to the party too late? I only bought it a few months ago

-Does it still run new games? Are there still updates coming out?

-I'd hate to buy a new flash card, as I probably can't for some time :/

Thanks.

You may want to use one DS with your DS-X,
The other DS would require your SuperCard PLUS a PASSCARD device.
You can pick up an action replay for DS for only $20 at walmart to use as a passcard(hold select when bootup),
or you can just purchase an R4 w/ 1gig Kingston from dealextreme.com for $45.

Just remember that download play still isnt 100% when it comes to most flashcards.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, but I already flashed my DS.
I'm asking if the SuperCard slot-2 is still updated and runs new DS games.

yep supercard still makes updates, since alot of people still buy slot 2 supercards since the slot 1 supercard ds one does not play gba roms.

The old sc-sd slot2 is still pretty fine, update it to the latest firmware and you'll have realtime AR cheats as a bonus... it will only struggle on Tony Hawkes games and Castlevania POR.
