Gaming are all the resident evil games rails shooters?

havent played one for years since ps2, saw a review of darkside chronicles and it looks like its a rails shooter with no real control of the character. Are they all this way?

you mean for the wii? have you played resident evil archives and resident evil 4?

no i mean on the wii, thats why i posted it here. I only ever played one on the ps2 or maybe even the ps1 and it was like an FPS, what i want to know are are any of the wii games like this or are they all rails shooters?

Nope, there's a couple of "Normal" Resident Evil Games.

Only Umbrella Chronicles and Dark Side Chronicles are on-rails shooters. No other titles in the series have this style of gameplay.
