Probably what I expected in regards to the iPhone 4S. Dual-core processor makes perfect sense to maintain competition, and the shots claimed to be taken by the 8MP camera look promising (though I think they've gone through a decent bit of photo editing before being released). Other than that, I'm not convinced by Apple that it'd be something worth buying. Pricing seems a bit high for a two-year contract, and knowing that we're locked in to three-year contracts in Canada, these prices will probably be bloated as well.
And in regards to that debate over the naming. The numbers stand more for a separate generation of the iPhone than anything. The 3G and 3GS were of the same generation, thus sharing a similar branding. The iPhone 4 was named so for being the fourth model, but also for the new generation of the iPhone, adding a new design and a huge screen update. The next generation being the iPhone 5 would actually make more sense to market in this way.
