App notifications not showing up on Fire HD 8 tablet (Gen 10)

So I ended up buying a Fire HD 8 tablet and the apps that I need all work, but unfortunately there's a different problem now: Notifications don't show up.

I installed the Play Store and all its necessary apk files to make it work and in accessing the store, downloading the apps, and so on works. However, notifications never show up whatsoever and I tried looking thru the settings for anything to change that.

Had I knew this, I'd not had bought it.

Is there a way anyone here knows how to enable it, please?
