Ah I see, that's weird, I'm not sure since there's more than 255 armors if it's only 1 byte, there might be a second byte offset maybe?

Not sure if this was already asked, but can you hack the digital copy of mhg? I've got it to work completely fine on my 3ds, and currently trying to help my buddy out. The difference is that I have a cartridge and hes on digital. I've got the homebrew to boot through OoT. I also have JKSM on both of ours along with the starter kit files. It "sees" MHG, but freezes when I'm trying to run the digital version on his 3ds.

Yes. This works. Instead of putting in the Cartridge you just Swipe through his Games until MHGen pops up.

Huh maybe I'm doing the Equipment Wrong. I think the Equipment IDs might be 2 bytes, not 1. And the Level might not be a level at all

Can confirm they are 2 bytes, tested it and worked.

Ok after a lot of testing you need to finish all quests online and offline and get past hr 80 so you can unlock the elder dragon quests like amatsu, etc before using the quest completer

Yea, I think you're right. Just make your HR points really high so that when you break through HR 8 you immediately unlock them. Then use the quest completer. At least, that's what I did.

Also, for anyone looking, here is a .catz file for (arguably) the best Prowler build. REGISTER A SET OF ARMOR AND THEN HAVE THE PALICO EQUIP THE SET. Otherwise, the Palico will show up without a weapon which the game doesn't recognize and it will boot you to the home menu when you try to give it a weapon or select it as a Palico.

It's crashing because it doesn't have an item equipped. Make an equipment set, and equip it onto the palico.

Wow thanks for uploading this! I was curious how the skills for DLC cats worked.

I always thought they have a unique Learned Skill RNG but it appears that they using the ones that already exist and just adding a DLC skill onto the end.

I wonder if this works for other DLC skills too?

I have the same problem as Alphex. I have registered and equipped a set, but when I try to select the imported palicoes, all of them have this message in red letters: "This palico is active and cannot be selected". The game is not crashing, it just refuses to let me use the imported palicoes.

Edit: Ok, I think I've figured it out. What I did was set the palicoes to training and went to a quest, once I came back I could use them normally. Hope this works for others too.

Somebody made me a palico but when they try to transfer it to me, I don't receive it. The same happens with unedited cats from them.
