I haven't kept up with the 3DS scene in months, so I'm very behind/lost on a lot of the terms you guys just threw out there. Also too busy to try and learn it. But think about it - the decision is a damned if you do, and damned if you don't decision. Quite frankly, I would rather not lose the friendly relations I've established with Nintendo and by dumping this title I have nothing to gain and everything to lose. I've owned the 3DS chips, but because I am able to work with people and provide for the team, there's not a ton of need for me to have to live in fear on an outdated firmware - I've gone legitimate long ago on all of my games (also helps to have a disposable income of sorts...) and haven't downloaded a game illegally in many months. EDIT: If anything, it makes games a lot more fun to beat, as I pour in the cash I am ten times more obligated to complete the game. :P

It's also a full physical copy. ;)

yea i feel you, you have a good thing running and dont want to mess it up.

You'd have better luck at a forum more dedicated to this topic.
Like, I don't know.. this one? TBH, I have no idea where all those "hurr durr, legit motherfucker" SJWs are coming from, but the very root of this forum is piracy. So fuck them.

EDIT:
FYI, my preordered Xenoblade Chronicles won't arrive till tomorrow, either.

All I am going to say (before I head to bed anyway) is that the game is well worth the wait. :) Have fun, be a bit patient, and you'll get it before you know it!

when you get games given straight from nintendo, do you have to sign a bunch of forms and privacy things? i'm not sure how much, because you have to write a review, so i guess there isn't an NDA etc... i'm curious

Nope! Just some back and forth, me finding games that would interest the team, asking for them, and then a review code that comes in the form of an email later on - depending on if we get it early or not, they'll ask us to merely observe embargo rules on what we can/cannot talk about (No I don't know what happens if we break the embargo, don't wanna find out either ._.) but other than that with the setup I have right now it's basically a conversation between friends. At least, that's what it feels like - we've actually gotten to know each other a little, have a bit of fun, etc. :)

lol people wanting a staff member/reviewer to dump this game.
If he's playing on a non emunand system (what choice is there now?) and doesn't have the movable.sed (likely the case), he can't decrypt it anyway. It's a moot point.

i already said how it would be possible :) (not that i want it done, just saying how to do it)
you could system transfer to an 9.6 emunand, 9.6 emunand is only possible with rxtools at the moment, then we can extract that ticket and make a cia with FunkyCIA.

also, if you grabbed your xorpads at any time in the past, if you have a nand mod you can decrypt your nand at any time in the future, regardless if the fw you are on is hackable or not.
so even if we can never get on the eshop again using emunand etc, if we 'NEED' to be legit to go on eshop - we can still dump things if we have our nand xorpads, because you can still access our ticket.db file

I thought you can't transfer N3DS --> 3DS? You can call nintendo to do it but good luck with XC being allowed to transfer to old3ds.
And N3DS -> N3DS emunand would be impossible because rxtools doesn't support n3ds.

ah rxtools does not work on n3ds yeah... you got me :)
so the only way this could be possible was if the xorpads were dumped with the private tools before updating to the latest fw, and yeah that didn't happen here.

-- ok, NEW idea! put n3ds secureinfo into the old3ds, get nintendo to system transfer you, get the ticket, yeah...? ha

i googled the question and apparently you can play n3ds content on a gateway. well thats that! i hope some homebrew devs start using the power of the n3ds to its full potential
