What's stopping us from just using our android phones to do the same thing? I thought it would have been the simplest solution since it has NFC support.

I've seen that you can write to blank NFC tags with an Android phone but my problem is I don't have an Android phone nor do I have an NFC reader for my o3DSXL.
No, I mean just choosing the amiibo you want to use on the phone, and using the phone AS the amiibo. Skipping the NFC tag part entirely.

I remember reading that it isn't possible or maybe just difficult to do. But it's been quite a while since I read about all that, the Android API would have developed since then.
It's Host-Based Card Emulation you'd want to investigate if you're interested: https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/connectivity/nfc/hce.html
I would have thought that this would be a feature of TagMo if it were a possibility.

Ah, okay. Thank you for the explanation, and insight. :) I've always been wondering why Android phones couldn't just emulate the Amiibos themselves, lol.
