I'm going on a trip and I tried PDF viewer but it wouldnt work for golden sun dark dawn. i get stuck on a lot of the puzzles so its almost mandatory to have a reference point if im going to make significant progress. I was wondering if anyone here also reads guides on their ds and maybe they can give me some tips on getting it to work so i wont be stuck doing my 10 hr trip?

how about this? anyone know of a place with some CBDS files. golden sun 3 is the most popular nds game right now. shouldnt be impossible to find the guide in cbds format.

Better idea since R4 Wood doesn't have RTS, Download and install either Moonshell2 or DSOrganize, then find your favourite walk-though online, copy it and paste it in a .txt document and use those to view it.

im using the official one

, but the best pdf reader homebrew cant read it.
pdf size is too big :|

I just use .txt walkthroughs off gameFAQs. I have guides for all djinn and summon tablets on my microSD, but I have a DSTWO so they're easy to access. A simple .txt is still probably your best bet, though.

I convert PDF files to CBDS files all the time. Strategy guides are pretty entertaining to read and I sometimes even read from games I've never played

Let me just find the strategy guide and I'll pm you when I'm done converting it.

I try to not read guides, but there are times when I'm 100% stumped, and it's stupid to try in vain and be frustrated, wasting massive amounts of time. I only read guides for puzzles if I'm really, really stuck, and I used guides for GSDD because some djinn and summons are permanently missable.

The internet has made people lazy.
Instead of sitting and figuring something out, they just get a guide.
Booooring. My friend uses guides all the time, and it pisses me off when he uses it to speedily surpass me in an RPG and then spoils shit for me.

That's kind of childlish from him :/ Anyway, I totally agree with you, but I use sometimes walkthrough if I'm really stuck in a game (like in Prof. Layton or Ace Attorney) or after I've finished a game, to have 100% completion. I try to avoid using it, but when you're stuck for 1 hr. on the same puzzle, it's kind of annoying :/

And to stay on topic, no, I do not use strategy guides on my DS, It's not very comfortable. Exept for little guides as insect/fish guide for Animal Crossing.

I only use a guide when i get stumped for a few days. Then i go look it up.

Only new gamers really. The only time I need a guide is when finish a game at 99% and I am like "Where the hell is that last damn thing I missed?" >.< Then I need one.

Well, I should admit that I use strategy guides, but I havn't untill after I beat whatever story the game might have as to uncover what secrets I missed or find other corners in the game, that's when I cheat to if I so feel like it. To each their own eh?
