Hacking Anyone order an Acekard 2i?

I got a DSi recently since someone was selling it in my area on craigslist for $200. After hearing about the Acekard 2i a few days ago I immediately ordered it from here:

My question to all you tempers: anyone buy the acekard 2i? if so, where? and has yours shipped yet?

It seems like that was the only place to buy it. It will be released officially tomorrow. If everything goes well, it has a new label as well.

I don't think a lot of people have it yet, but I think it will show up fast enough after tomorrow.

I havent seen anywhere in US that sell 2i yet..

I think the cart bootstraps differently, tricking the DS in a modified way than the standard AK (to work on the DSi), and then loads into the same loader (AKAIO, or AK 4.12, or whatever else). So I believe (as I understand it) that AKAIO will work for the AK2 or AK2i in the same way.

It's the same exact card, they just rewrote the loader code to work with DSi. So yeah, basically just a firmware update. Shame there's probably no way just to update it yourself.

its not the exact same card if the card is entirely the same from top to bottom... With a BIOS change, that is a different card....

For some reason, it seems this site was a fake.
If you go to the page where there is the acekard 2i, they say : "Sorry, the product was not found."
I ordered one yesterday, and in my account it say : product delivered.

That's too bad but now i will be more prudent on which site i order things

I don't know if it's a good idea to get one right away. I mean, Nintendo can update the firmware anytime they want and make the new acekard useless.

Physically, it is the same exact card. Programming wise, the loader is different. Happy?

Look at the photos:

The version 2.1 card still has the shitty little plastic clips.
The DSi Compatible card is made more like an EDGE!

I hope Acekard uses the better quality shells on all their new cards.
I will try another AK2 if and when they get rid of the clips!

If you guys take a good look at the picture of the acekard 2i on that site linked in the first post the cart looks like it has an amazing "soft and polished" finish to it and it looks like it is made from amazing good quality. Could it be that the acekard team have changed their cheapy manufacturing ways? That picture on the site looks so clean and amazing but I don't know whether to believe the actual cart is so "perfect" in hardware. What do you guys say?

The DSi is not out yet in the US, there are no DSi specific games even announced yet, and their online network has yet to be installed. It'll also be locked into Japanese. I'm not real sure that importing one is even worth it at this point. Just wait until the US debut and get it cheaper.
