What I was trying to say was that Nintendo should just do the better spin-offs rather than Super Mario Cup & Ball or whatever they'll release next.
Like with the Pokemon games, Dash was terrible but Trading Card isn't and yet, we've not had a Trading Card game since the GBC years. I'm sure it would have sold more if they did it but I guess Dash was cheaper to do and Nintendo seem to be more about shifting units then spending time & money on a game which would carry on selling years later.

Anyway when I said it was weird, I meant there's like 10 Mario Party games since 1998 which isn't that great a series but a great series like Mario Kart (well the Wii one isn't all that) there are only 5 games since 1992. Perhaps they want certain quality control on one series but not much on another.
