EDIT: JKSM seems to not be working still im not sure what you meant by non-cfw, but my JKSM is through homebrew. ill do some investigation into the SVDT extra files you mentioned.

The Guide will get you CFW. It takes about 45 minutes. It may take longer your first time. I suggest you read the whole thing at least once and read each page completely so you know what's coming ahead. Don't skip any steps.

Update JKSM from github. The newest version is on that page and about a month old.

So JKSM is the most reliable homebrew method right now.
I didn't know it could delete secure NAND value from userland. This means no more secure value trouble for homebrew users!

The editor is awesome! I have one question though: would it be possible to edit the grass on the main map, so we can see the location of buildings and trees and flowers and therefore place our dirt paths accordingly? The development of the grasswear feature is remarkable -- thank you for all of your hard work!

@marc_max Not sure if this has been reported. Just used the online editor to edit garden_plus.dat. I put bunch of hybrid flowers in storage and pocket. But the ones in the pocket didn't appear once I imported the save file. The ones in storage were all leaf icon (I think the furniture icon.) and said ??? on mouse over. Once I put them in the my pocket they changed into the correct flowers.

I just copy pasted golden roses from storage to pocket and those appeared in game.

Also is the download version gone? I tried the git downloaded one, but it got stuck at loading item database.

Is it possible to put in customized furniture without having to go through Cyrus all the time? I know you can change the flag settings, but is there a list of values for customizations that are native to the game?

I have a small problem when using the save editor..
Theres a tree/bush pattern that I have going on in a small part of my town, and on the first day of the tree/bush edit, it worked perfectly fine.

However, when time-traveling to the next day, my trees disappear!

Can someone please help me?

I'm fairly certain it's because the game is programmed to not have trees in that area. I've tried that before as well, but unfortunately, the game does not accept trees up against the railroad fence. Perhaps you could move your cafe down slightly and then place the trees behind it?

Alright, I will try that. Will the game allow placement up against the cafe though?

Is there an easy way to put whole categories in storage? For example, I want to put all fish in the secret storage. This involves opening the drop-down menu, clicking the first fish, clicking the spot I want it to go, opening the drop down menu again, clicking the next fish, and so on. At three clicks per fish, for 70+ fish, the number of clicks adds up, as does the time it takes. I'm happy with doing it as it is, but I thought I'd ask in case there is a better way I don't know about.

You can open the web browser console (usually with F12) and type:
AUTO_INCREMENT=true

that will set next item after clicking in any grid :-)

This is a great save editor already, I've used it a lot and I love it. I know this isn't supposed to be a request thread, but is it possible to add the Able Sister's design storage because one of my characters is not able to save designs on it. (It says, "Unable to save game. Returning to the title screen without saving.") It's really not an urgent need at all, I just thought it would be a nice little edition you can add on your spare time. Thank you.

I was also wondering why there is no catalog editor yet. I'm not asking because I need it, I'm asking just out of pure curiosity. Like I said before, this editor is already perfect, I just want to know to understand more about how Animal Crossing works. Thanks again!

Manually hex editing your name and adding 0A (line break) before your name allows your name to appear below the bubble which is pretty cool
