Hacking Animal Crossing Burn Question + Wii Speak Question

Ok, so I'm currently downloading my backup copy of AC:CF and I have a few important questions before I burn it:

1. what's the best burn speed for it? The current discs I'm using are Maxell brand dvd-r 4.7gb, up to 16x
The last game I burned was PBR at 3x speed with the same disc...it turned out great but the "intro's" kinda laggy.

2. Let's say I just recently bought Wii Speak and am about to download it from the shop channel. Is there anyway to get the Wii Speak Channel without going thought this process? I'm not sure if Nintendo updates the system with an IOS while downloading this channel.

3. If I were to get Wii Speak, would skipping the update in AC:CF not allow me to use it on my Wii?

first off, don't ever say your downloading something, lie and say your backing it up, piracy is illegal and frowned upon around here, mods may delete your post for using that word. The best burn speed is different for everyone, for me 16x gives me a quality of over 90%, you can find your best burn speed by testing your burn quality at various speeds with a pi po scan via dvdinfopro. the wii speak channel isnt needed to use it in game, only via the channel itself, there is probably a copy of the channel floating on the net, just search for it. The update in AC is just an IOS update, the IOS can also be found by searching for it. its IOS38. So no skipping the update wouldn't prevent you from using wiispeak.

right...ok so pretty much if I bought Wii Speak I would be able to chat with my friends no problem even without the IOS?

You need the IOS for AC and you need the channel if you just want to chat outside of games. If you just want to hear others talk you dont need the channel. As for why i said what i said, if you catch a mod on a bad day and they see you asking that they will ban you and your ip, on a good day they just erase your post

dude. This forum is full of pirates. We talk about it all the time. I cant recall once of a mod actually mentioning piracy other then just dont post links. You may continue...

you don't look very well then. they've been slack lately, but when they do come in they go nuts deleting posts and banning people. And don't forget the site keeps track of your IP, if nintendo decides they want to sue pirates i bet one of the first things they would do is sue the site for IP records of anyone talking about their downloads. Hence why the regulars always stress their "backups" Saying I'm downloading X game is kinda like shoplifting and then walking in the store the next day and asking to return it (which alot of people do at walmarts, heh) or standing out in front of the police station yelling I steal. Your just asking for trouble.

I think that maybe the MODs being the types they are, have a certain respect for the hacker/pirate. It is and always has been the driving force which spurs innovation.

There was just a thread about looking up porn and pirating stuff. Everyone in there having a good o'time saying they've all done it. Theres a post on one of the recent threads saying hes going to go pirate. Its all good here...as long as you dont post links.

Exactly you just made my point. They definitely dont condone it. But there not going to ban you for talking about it. LLike it says discussion only. That rule is meant to say dont post any links. You can pirate just not here. But you can talk about it.
