So I've been working on an english translation of Angelique Duet for the DS for a bit now, and the script is 90~% done and recently someone helped me out and made Ascii and Half Width Font patches for Angelique Duet. Right here:

However, I'm a little confused because I put it in the same folder as armips and the .nds file and nothing seems to happen. Is the 03n.bin actually inside arm9.bin? Do I just have to leave the nds file there? (I don't see anything about what the nds specifically has to be named in the code.), do I drop the arm9.bin file directly?

Any help would mean a lot.
Got it working! Thanks yall

is this still active??
I haven't checked this website out in a while. Sorry, it's kind of active but I'll explain the situation right now.

I've been mostly focusing on finishing up email translations for Idolm@ster One for All and I'm excited to say that my part of the translations will be finished by tomorrow and most of the translations should be done by the end of the month and we will move on to proofreading.

As for Angelique, English text is possible, however I would need a programmer for help with Cartographer and Atlas. According to someone else I would also need help in making a proper VWF. So basically I would need a programmer but a lot of the script at least on Angelique's side is fully translated.

amazingg I hope you find a programmer and a help as well. GOOD LUCK, I'm excited for the results hehehehe

If you're still interested in doing a translation patch for this, you can try asking the AGT team for help with programming - they're working on various DS (and PS2) projects and I'm sure someone could give you a few pointers or help out! :) They have a Discord too and the creator of the group, PhantomGhost, posts in this forum too. :)

Is it still an active project?

Hi. I can't say much on the project other than it's still being worked on. The one who is translating it is very talented and is the sole contributor to the script. Once it's finished and the patch is done, there will be news.

I do want to apologize and say I shouldn't have announced something so early on for many reasons, I just got excited with the breakthroughs and didn't realize the scope of this game. In the meantime of waiting for the script (Unless someone else makes a patch, which by all means, I support you.), I've been working on other games.

Hii, I wanted to know if this was still like in development or has it been canceled?

It’s been years, and you’ve been pretty active on this forum. Might as well update and tell us if you’re working on this project anymore or not.
If not, at least let us know if it’s been postponed indefinitely 🤔 so people waiting, don’t get their hopes up unfortunately.

Hello everyone, I want to be fully transparent since I am pretty active in the community but it's been some years.

TLDR; the project is still happening but I am no longer involved with the project for Angelique Duet. If anyone is a programmer and wants to work on Angelique SNES and made a breakthrough, you can reach out to me. (Or Sweet Ange for the GBC, I ACTUALLY have an English rom for this we just need to finish up some tweaks.)

Long answer:
I came into this as a newbie into rom hacking not knowing the responsibility of leading a project at the time. Also, my Japanese was beginner N4 level when I started this project. The famous Angelique translator knew this and insisted that she would be the sole translator for the script so ever since then I have been letting her handle it. There is also a graphic designer and programmer working on it.

Since then, I have been working on the girls side games and Idolmaster games. If you like raising simulators, I am now the lead on the Idolmaster Dearly Stars english patch for the DS which is coming out later this year. I am also now N2 in my Japanese and have played many other otome games like Doki Doki Sasete, Mein Liebe, and Saikin Koi Shiteru?.

So now, I am in the same waiting game that you are all in but have been productive in other ways. Again, if you are a SNES or GBC programmer and want to work on the games I mentioned in the TLDR reach out to me, but otherwise I will be continuing to work on raising simulators and my Japanese.

Thank you for reading!
