Shortly after announcing their espionage RPG Project C4, ZA/UM Studio is back with an actual Disco Elysium-related announcement. However, it's not exactly a new game but the Android version of Disco Elysium with revised, touchscreen-based controls.

The Android version of Disco Elysium will be available in Summer 2025 as a free-to-play game. Pre-registration is now live on Google Play to be notified of its availability.

probably gonna be free for the first chapter, and the rest of the chapters be paid separately (i never played the game sooo idk how it's gonna work out)
You can always register in the Play Store, if available, but the price may suddenly appear upon release

what is considered toxic behavior in video game development? i dunno i think toxic behavior is way overstated in alot of business and its just the way people whine nowadays.

it all depends on contracts how people were paid. if the creators werent smart enough or didnt have the resume to put together a profit oriented contract that paid them out on the success of the game then thats the creators fault for agreeing to bad contract or not having one in place in an industry that is pretty well documented out in the different business models of development that works have used over the years in the industry
In this case, "Toxic" is considered to be overriding all junior developer contributions, outright verbal insults and assaults, an absolute refusal to cooperate or collaborate with management or junior developers in any reasonable way and, of course, the general "toxic behavior" that is often referenced these days as the cherry on top of the whole mess. Oh, and possibly an outright smear campaign on the company, with basically zero proof, following the creators' departure.

Just so we're clear about what this toxic environment entails.

Also the creators did get paid and are preventing any work toward a sequel or in-universe game.
