Honestly, any publicly traded company should turn over any data to the FBI. It's fair. Plus, data collection isn't worse than seizing parts at customs, like what Apple does
the fbi wanted a back door to all iphones, and not sure where you are coming from on the second point. Its a bad thing apple did, but give me a break.

They have also sued an independent repair shop for using refurbished parts because it has an Apple logo, so they claimed it was counterfeit. It wasn't, the Apple logo was from the original part, and the court sided with the repair center.

you can really feel their control over the democrats now too, the party has really lost it over the last few years to the point where Trump beat them.

Dude stop bring up spying arguments, spying doesn't stop you from using or repairing your own device

I can still repair and use my device just fine, I wouldnt go to an unauthorized shop anyway. Spying with no way of opting out is a big deal! I know its kind of douchy of apple to go after repair shops, but I can live with it. I cant live with what google does.

Dude you can easily opt out, just go to your dashboard and opt out of everything, also, official Apple repair shops suck because they only fix the most basic if things. If you have something even slightly more complex (anything that isn't cosmetic related), they'll have you replace the whole phone. Also no, you can't repair your device just fine, as replacing the home button loses functionality, and using an unofficial screen will cause issues

Dude, data collection from a tech giant will never directly unless you're doing sketchy shit. That's the only point you're giving. Apple has seized components, sued small repair centers, always have some sort of issue with almost every new iPhone and Mac. Their extended warranty programs are shitty (except for that recent battery program, that was okay).

Android even though it is a pile of shit
i just do not like the IOS layout

Android is a shit mess but i like the layout better
if only android ran as smooth as IOS and wasn't plagued with millions of bugs
but what do you expect from something that is based off of a meme OS kernel
oh well i heard Google is getting rid of Android and replacing it with fuchsia OS
which has their own custom zircon kernel , i hope it is smoother and more stable than crapdroid and has better RAM management , and that it will be compatible with regular launchers like nova because that armadillo launcher looks like a complete joke
Maybe it's just your device because mine is as smooth as it can be (Zenfone 2 + LineageOS).

None of them spy like google, do a little research on their business model. Thats just the tip of the iceberg with google though, they are heavily involved in politics in horrible ways as well.
It's not as bad as Windows 10, at least. Microsoft collects data from your computer even if you don't use a Microsoft account. On Android, you can just avoid using Google's services and disable all Google apps.

Why not both? My main phone is an iPhone SE cuz I like compact phones and the security is better on iOS. My other phone is a rooted Sony Xperia that I use for gaming, media, downloads and stuff ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Maybe if we all act like this guy everyone will be happy (even though that’s impossible)

When it comes to CPU and SoC technology they're both very different for different reasons. The whole thing is with Android it cannot be customized nearly as much as iOS can as it's meant to support and run across multiple different kinds of SoC, but with larger compatibility comes less efficiency and optimization. That's why you can have a newer iPhone running 2 cores and it will perform relatively the same as Android on a quad-core CPU.

Lets not talk about MediaTek though :P

Your pretty much right. In a simplistic way it’s easy to see Android as the Windows of the phone world. It’s designed to be completely open, support many devices, give you more or less total freedom over what you do with it and so on. Obviously this, just as with Windows, brings more difficult to enforce security, privacy, safety and single system enhanced interoperability.

iOS on the other hand is the macOS of the phone world, because well, it literally is. Underneath the different interface lies a kernel which was ported across from the Mac. Of course this give the ability to better optimise hardware and software. And in typically Apple fashion, gives less user freedom but tighter, easier to enforce security and privacy.

There’s a market for both and as end users whether you like one or the other, we need both to coexist. Without the competition between them, advancements would slow and stall and we would be the ones who suffer for it.

Damn, that’s a bit on the serious side for me at this time of day :D

Android! Every phones I bought are android. only free phone I got is iphone. I found it in the house after I bought it. I hacked it and reformatted it haha

iOS. Got used to the ecosystem / cross-platform connectivity between devices (mobile, desktop).

I have both so both are fine. Depending on what you are looking for. No competitive and I am not picky like people do. They said Android is better. Other said iPhone is better. Whatever.

Both are fine.. Just people's preference. We are all different that's all.
