An interesting story I was told was written on facebook which I wanted to share here

Once a mother had an eye disease which turned her blind.
Son - I will search throughout the city for the best doctor to cure you.
Mother - What if you dont find one?
Son - I will search for the best doctor throughout the world to cure you my mother.
Mother - What if you dont find one?
Son - Then I will serve you for the rest of your life as you walk, eat and sleep.
Mother - Do you know what I would have done if you had the disease and I didnt?
Son - No mother, what would you have done?
Mother - I would have given you my eyes.

there are many stories of these sorts that I believe we cant understand and may think they are stretched a little but they arent.

This reminds me of the movie Dancer In The Dark. Mother and son have a degenerative eye disease so the mother is nearly gone blind but she can only afford to get the surgery that would save their vision for one of them, so of course she saves up for the surgery for her son. Well....

the crooked landlord trys to jack her money, you know because she's blind and cant see him do it, but of course she releaizes its gone and ends up killing the guy to get the money for her sons surgery to save his eyes... they hang the mother

I think its actually based on an old european folk tale I might be wrong...
