Nope, didn't do that :/ the 3DS still boots but does not recognize SD, So can't boot in Gateway mode or rxTools cause of that.

Why can't you just replace the card slot? Isn't it a seperate module like the O3DS?

First, sorry to the OP for riding along on his topic

Yeah, you can replace it, but you need to desolder everything first, but somehow i messed up with trying to resolder the old Sd slot first (cause of no spare SD slot around) and that causes the touch screen to malfunction now and freezing the 3DS for a few minutes when trying to access the SD, then when you touch something in the working part of the screen it again freezes for almost a minute cause it again tries to read from the SD, but can't access it, replacing the touch screen doesn't fix it (i had one laying around from another 3DS XL i sold for parts, screen wasn't sold yet
