Hacking Alternative controller support for PS4?

Wii U has awesome homebrew app http://wiiubrew.org/wiki/HID_to_VPAD

It helps to make almost any kind of controller to work on Wii U, such as, gamecube dance mats. You can even remap the controller by editing config file.

Is there any thing like this for PS4? Is it even technically possible?

IIRC, no methods are found but remote play (and this is even barely a workaround-like solution)

Not with homebrew yet but you can with a chronus max:

Chronus max price is quite outrageous. Like 80 euros here. Would be fine if it supports like 4 controllers at once but only one.

I have the Mayflash Magic NS (which is the version that works with the Switch, not PS4) and I can confirm that it works as expected.
