I have had a ttds cartridge for a while now, and have purchased quite a few for my friends, however, I bought 3 for one of my friends together with 4gb sandisk cards. I put on the root: TTMENU (folder) and TTMENU.DAT (ver 1.10) along with 100 roms (different roms on each card). 1 of them was for him and the other 2 for other family members. I also put version 1.10 on mine, along with 100 roms, and all 4 memory cards had at least 600mb left for save files.
My friend told me the next day that they were all working fine, then a few days later he told me that his had froze, when trying to load a game, and now none of the games would load. He said he reset the DS and it took him to the menu, but no matter which game he selected, the screen froze at "loading" and the little square at the bottom left of the screen wasn't turning. The next day he told me that one of the other cards was doing the same, so I took the cards and tried them myself, none of the games would load. My TTDS was working perfectly so I tried both the memory cards in my cartridge, and I had the same problem, so this ruled out the TTDS.
I removed all the files, renamed all the .sav files that were in uppercase to the same case as the game file, formated the memory card, then replaced all the files, and replaced the system files, with new copies. They now work fine.
A few days later, a friend who I purchased a TTDS a while ago for, asked me if I could buy another 4gb memory card for him, and put some more roms on it, I did this and placed same files as above on it (his other memory card had older firmware on it), I gave it to him and the next day he told me it was fine, but then 2 days later he told me all the games had froze and would not work.
How can this be happening, does anyone know the reason. He has never had a problem with the memory card that has the older firmware on it, but as soon as I gave him the one with 1.10, it freezes after a few days. Something must be causing this to happen, as they all worked at first.
