Gaming Alien Swarm

So, for those who weren't lucky and didn't see me in the shoutbox before it came out (I tested the download link it was already working so I was posting it and downloading at like 2MB/s) and are just now getting it, it is an awesome game!

Very fun, squad and class based. More challenging than L4D. Requires teamwork more than L4D. Super awesome!

Spoiler: My favorite experience so far

I was playing the offline mode
I already set the action music (in the audio options)
I go down elevator
"War" starts playing
Aliens jump onto the elevator in slow motion
I'm gunning them down as a Tech

challenging and actually requires co-op.

I maxed out (level 27) a few hours ago. Top tier weapons are AWESOME!!!!

Explosions. Explosions everywhere.

Grenade Launcher + Mega Turret + Missile Storm (like 25 missiles) = Team Kill all day!

They have a prestige mode. I won't waste my time for no benefits.

nice, I just hit level 15 myself. Pretty fun game. Random people I play with tend to not know how to stay out of a line of fire though.

Never played Easy.
Normal is a walk in the park.
Hard is Normal.
Insane is Hard.

I got bored so I prestiged and am about to hit 27 again. 40% experience bonus on insane.

This game lets you pick your own music to play during the panic events (shuffles through your picked songs) so you can choose what tunes to rock out to when you're facing the horde.

It's a very fine option, I'm surprised more games don't have it. Also, this, on a free game? VALVE, YOU ARE AWESOME.

It's a pretty fun game but surprisingly graphics intensive. My laptop can run crysis decently but on this I'm lagging every once in awhile on low to medium settings.

I like those small boxes that pop up that show what's happening in third person and I think that's one of the reasons why the game is relatively graphics intensive. The engine isn't built from that vantage point but from another. There is a first person mode in case anyone is wondering.
It looks a lot like left 4 dead.

, your laptop can run 'Crysis' decently but not this? Lol, i havent even tested crysis on this computer, but Alien swarm runs perfectly on medium-high settings (low-medium AA, AF)
