Why hasn't someone made a the wiki before I did? O.o
People too lazy?
I mean its been like 2 days and its pretty useful now.

I was learning how to do one but then one was made so i just started adding stuff. Because i am still learning i still can't get pictures up in the wiki. If someone knows how to make the pics (four posts up) the right size that will be helpful.

Thanks to all who corrected my mistakes in the wiki

Doesn't AKAIO have direct support for the eWin 2-in-1? If so, that should be added to the Wiki (which only mentions the EZFlash 3-in-1 and the FlashAdvance Pro).

do you guys want to actually discuss additions to the wiki or should they just be added in? i noticed that most of the gui changes (3-in-1, etc) have not been updated. the button combination to turn cheats on/off is in two different places. i saw a few other things as well.

vato: you have been doing some updates, talk to me in #acekard if you want to do some of the stuff i found.

i personally hate wiki syntax =P

oh yeah, i'll definitely do my part to help get the wiki up-to-date. i'll get on the irc later today so we can come up with some ideas of what to add/change.
I should be picking up my new 3in1 today from the post office, so I now i'll be able check out all the new gba optimizations:)

I was thinking if having a ROM compatibility list in the Wiki would be of value? I realize that at this stage we're more or less at 99% anyways. But it might be worth it to list on-going exceptions such as Bleach, or new exceptions such as using non-DMA mode.

The only reason I'm suggesting this is because back when I had a Slot-2 M3, it was very useful to have this information from Scorpei when the default ROM loading didn't work.

Though I do understand that at this point, it seems like a lot of effort with not much utility in return. But I'm throwing it out there to see what people think and if there is a need for this.

do it
add a "known problems"

Is it possible to create a sub-page for this? I worry that putting this information on the main wiki page would clutter it too much. We can create a wiki link from the main page obviously.

Ok I added a sort of half assed looking page for game compatibility.

http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php/AKA...M_Compatibility

It's not pretty looking but should be functional.

Most things should be resolved via using non-DMA mode which can be documented here as well as any general game issues people know about.

Thanks, makes it easier if theres a page people can report DMA mode conflicts rather than posting them individually on the bug tracker.

I've updated the wiki to show the new menu system in 1.4

Some of the screenshots need to be updated to reflect some minor changes in the Start Menu. How do you take screen shots of an nds anyways??

I combined all the 3in1 with the FAS1 stuff. However since I don't have these carts I can't see if there are any changes. I get an "Unknown" error when I try to access the 3in1/FAS1 option in the Start menu. Hopefully someone can go through that section and clean it up with any additions from 1.4

i think the 1.3 wiki should stay as is, and 1.4 stuff added in addition or a new wiki made for 1.4. some people will continue to use 1.3 for awhile, the wiki should not be 1.4 specific due to the vast amount of gui changes.

whoever made all the __aio folders to __AIO please do not do that again. the folder on the acekard is lowercase not uppercase. while it might be proper writing style to make the name of a directory uppercase, it also has the potential to confuse the new users who are looking for matching literal data.

vato and i have just discussed the wiki for the past 25minutes. we have decided that it needs to be more universal. from now on any reference to content outside or inside the wiki will be in quotes, all directories and important files will be bolded. also the word 'folder' will be switched for the word 'directory.' the names of the kits should now be universal (AK2, R.P.G., AK2i). do not use any other combination of lowercase or more verbose methods.

if you add content please try to keep it conformed to this method =).

IE:
please visit the "links" section of the wiki
place your __aio folder in the root of your microSD

Since you guys want to have both the 1.3 and 1.4 gui options in the Wiki I have a few ideas.

1) We could create template Wiki pages that are specific to the 1.3 GUI and 1.4 GUI. We could could then use these templates and embed them into the main page. This would allow us to more easily swap out or move the GUI contents as needed, or as the GUI changes for subsequent versions

2) We could have entirely separate pages that deal with either the 1.3 and 1.4 GUI changes

3) We could have the main page contain only the latest GUI information, then create a separate page for the older 1.3 GUI

Sorry about wiping out the older 1.3 stuff in the wiki, but I had kind of assumed we'd only be needing the most relevant version in the wiki
