Hacking AKAIO save file location

Hello,
What is the location of the save file required by AKAIO?

Does the .sav file have to be at the same location as the corresponding .nds file? Is it possible to have all the .sav file stored in a location separate from where the corresponding .nds file? (e.g. x:\saves\)

The save file must be in the same folder as the corresponding ROM. I believe Normatt has stated that he has no intention of adding user defined save locations unless the AceKard team add it to the official firmware.
