Sorry if this has been asked before - I have seen other topics on it and still cannot get my ROMS sorted alphabetically.

I have tried setting sortListAlpha=1 (I read that this is alphabetical acending) in the global settings and it doesn't appear to work, even when I switch between flie list styles in the interface settings. Sorry to be a complete noob but if someone could explain quickly I would very much appreciate it. Currently my ROMS appear in what appears to be a random order which is a tad messy.

Thanks.

Yeah - I opened it in notepad, changed it and saved. Even if I left it as zero though I would have thought that would sort it alphabetically (just descending). But my list is nothing like alphabetical. I'm sure I am missing something really stupid here...

... ah if I change to list by file name I can see that it is sorted alphabetically - but the release number at the front is throwing it off. So I guess it is working I just (incorrectly) expected it to ignore the number (especialy when viewing by internal name). I guess this is just how it works!

Dont know what is the problem...

If your game names start with NUMBER - they are alpabeticaly on the first place...

SO it looks like this...
1234-gamename.nds
1235-gamename.nds
gamename1.nds
gamename.nds

Someone this asked in oficial akaio forum, so the only way to sort it well is RENAME your NDS files...

anothergamename.nds
gamename 01.nds
gamename 02.nds
xygamename.nds
etc...

Yep you are right - I figured it out just now before reading your post. Many thanks for the reply though - it's appreciated.

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
