akaio 1.5 and DSi 1.4 fix is not related

is the DSi 1.4 fix gives you the danny phantom icon
akaio 1.5 is just the firmware that you need to boot game/homebrew!

Now this so far seems to be an issue that only affects me, but in case it affects others I'm putting the solution out there. With some games, not all, after enabling cheats the game will fail to work, but will work with cheats disabled. If you have this problem, the solution is to hold down X while booting the game, and it should work fine. This doesn't affect everyone though. Hopefully this information becomes useful to others.

Thanks for this! It seems to be affecting me aswell. Aswell as when i try to come back out from cheats in layton the loader freezes for some reason.

Plugin system is removed so no more playing with lmp and other plugins I don't know. Just run moonshell.

i never used it, but now that it's gone i miss it. i hope they add Imp in an update. 1.5.1 or sumthin. i had custom skins for imp all setup and now they aren't doing anything. not that i use my dsi for music bcuz of my iphone, but it was always neat to show to friends. just another reason to get an iplayer.

happy that support is alive for my Acekard2i. best card i ever had.

btw for the ppl that have never ever update their ak2i, u'll love AKAIO. especially if u use an SDHC 16g+. runs so much faster.

1.5 is just the firmware like what you have been using before to load games and etc

the 1.4 fix is what makes your ak2i become a danny kart and to be compatible with DSi firmware 1.4

so the answer is ... you don't need to patch it anymore

Now I just need to find an Acekard supplier in the UK. I'd get one from Deal Extreme but the last time I bought from there, Paypal charged me more than the cost of the item I bought!

Now that I think about it, what was the difference between AK2 v2.1 and AK2i? Weren't they of nearly identical hardware when they both started popping up?

@ Depravo Did you ever contest/dispute the overcharge, or was it some shipping priority you accidentally placed on it?
While slow, DX doesn't normally overcharge on an advertised price, but you should have contacted their customer service

double white screen is one of the main problem that some users are having after switching to 1.5

i was having the problem too but what i did to solve the problem was formatting my microSD with panasonic sd formatter!

the only time i need to use OLD DMA MODE (X) or SWITCH OFF DMA MODE (A) is save related issue

i have been using 1.5 for a while
these game doesn't give me any WHITE SCREEN

Everyone may have anticipated the release of this(I think), but this came outta left field for me. I haven't been using my AK2 due to the corruption of my comuters disc and hard drive. But I bought a new comp just a few days ago. I just got off of work and open up IE(yes I know, it sux), and look at my home page and see THIS... Eh, screw this I'm just gonna put the new firmware on my AK2.

I hope this release of AKAIO will once and for all stop people from making topics like "AKAIO is dead", "Acekard 2 sucks", and so on! DEATH TO THE UNBELIEVERS! And big thanks to people who have been spending their precious time to improve AKAIO, so we can now all enjoy using our Acekards even more.

Let me reiterate.

I'm using AKAIO 1.4 on DSi with 1.4. My question is...if I update to AKAIO 1.5, do I still need to patch it with the 1.4 Fix so it will be compatible with my DSi or is there no need for that? I'm asking this because in case it's not, I can't solve the possible bricking as I don't have a DS.

IF that's true then the AKAIO team really can do magic. I've not seen a cart that claims 100% compatibility with this title.
