this a long standing issue since akaio v1.2 when you go and do the cheat data base update over wifi it all goes good then after it tells you enjoy and you press a after that you get stuck at 2 white screens.

In my case, it has nothing to do with the cheat database. I simply copied over the beta version of AKAIO, turned on my NDS, clicked the Health and Safety Screen, clicked the Acekard 2 box from the NDS menu, got the AKAIO "Loading" message briefly, then two black screens.

I tried it several times, always with the same result.

Yes, the "loaders" folder has 3 .nds files in it. The "__aio" folder is a direct copy of the "__aio" folder from the public beta .rar file. I even tried deleting the old "__aio" folder before copying just to make sure.

No, I didn't reformat. However, the official menu seems to work just fine on the same microSD card so it's unlikely that it's the microSD card.

I have the "__aio" and "__ak2" folders from both menus installed on the same microSD card. When I use "akmenu4.nds" from the official menu it works, but when I use "akmenu4.nds" from AKAIO it doesn't work.

bri: during all the beta testing i had this happen to me more than once. the first few times was when norm released the build with external loaders and forgot to include them. after that i had issues with the backup of my old globalsettings.ini. i still don't know why this one causes issues, but removing it and allowing AKAIO to remake it fixed the issue. it is a bit annoying as you have to reconfigure the gui for the way you like it. other than that i have the 1.3 beta running on an ak2.1 black pcb, green pcb and my rpg using different types of msd cards. i don't know what else the problem could be.

goodluck!

BUG found.
AKAIO always show "Italian" language into the "System Configuration" when I use "Español". Show always Internal ROM name in "Italian" when I use "Español". Show in "Español", into "System Configuration", "text | item0 | item1"; must be "Visor de TXT | Plugin | Interno".Shortcut dont work (tested with DSLINUX; "SD:2-Homebrew\dslinux.nds"); show a GBA icon and freeze the NDS when loaded it. In "Español" change "Acceso direct" to "Enlazar" (the previous is too long). In "Español", "Save Extension" must be "Extensión partida". In "Español" change "Saleccion de memoria" to "Selección de memoria". Mal UTF8 into "Español" in "Estilo Men?E Gráfico/Numérico"; must be "Estilo Menú Gráfico/Numérico".
WFC Update savelist change language to Italian.

Thanks for all!

We don't handle the translations, but thanks for the string errors.

But it does seem our language selection is a little out of whack.

I support English, but can take a look at others.

I haven't tested the "homebrew as shortcut" so i'll take a look at that.

The "item1" etc is just missing strings in language.txt.

Like i said, I only handle the English language.txt

in the spanish language TXT file, remove this line: "language = 5". (or change it to language = 7)

It's like the 3rd line.
This fixes the problem.

Also, Homebrew as shortcut is now fixed. it was a case of the order in which it figured out DS or GBA. DS has to be first.

I thought it might be the globalsettings.ini which is why I deleted my entire "__aio" folder and copied over the new one (so that it could rebuild it). Still no luck. I'll probably just wait for the final 1.3 to come out and see if it works any better.

Nope, and I don't intend to at this point. I've never reformatted this card even once and I've never had any problems with it. All my games and the official menu work flawlessly. AKAIO 1.2 also works just fine.

I have another microSD card that's still sealed in its package. I don't really want to open it just for this since I was planning to give it to someone as a gift, but I might change my mind. Or maybe I'll just wait for 1.3 to come out and try that.

There you go, your problem is your filesystem is getting so fragmented it has trouble finding the file. You should reformat it as it will improve speed on your card, and well formatting your card every couple of months is good practice.

The SD formatting utility does indeed make things faster, I can attest to that.

Also, to whomever was responsible for making folders load infinitely faster - tacos and beer for you!

OK, you've convinced me. I'll try it tomorrow.

Hi, the new file display mode would be nice with small icons at the side!
also hiddenfilenames still doesn't work.

Thanks for the new version
