Pardon teh language, but what the hell is the difference between AK2 and AKAIO firmware?

I just bought an Acekard the other day ago and I'm not sure which one to put on the card when I get it

The difference is that AKAIO is much better. There is no debate really, if you own an AK2, then you use AKAIO. The only people not using it are people who just don't know it exists.

What does it have that AK2 regular firmware doesn't?

Does it have GBA compatibily, cuz I just can't give up my Mother 3 ROM!

Never EVER Pm us twice, pm us on irc and post it here, posting it here is perfectly fine, the rest just pisses us off.

After game internal reset (L+R+Start+Select), AK reset will be no response (L+R+A+B+down).
And cheat code will not apply in game even it was normally apply before L+R+Start+Select.
This problem appears in lots of game which has internal reset like Castlevernia series.
Can this problem be fixed? Thank you very much!

Thats a common problem with all flashcards as when you invoke a game's internal soft reset, it clears the game's memory and reloads the game. Meaning that all the routines the flashcard patched into the game's memory are also erased.

Thanks for answering and explanation! No wonder there will be in that situation.

Regarding Multi5 etc PAL Releases on Nintendo DSi:

I was wondering if there is a possibility to implement a way to choose the language before starting the game. As for now Multi5 games boot in english and there is no way to chose a different language.
I was trying to make AR codes for language settings myself, but I'm not getting it. Same goes for Romhacking. I would really appreciate it!

Wow, fast directory access! One quibble I have is: when I set the file list style to test list, the directories don't have the "/" character after the name like before. Can you bring that back? Thanks and great job!

just a heads up but no major biggie 'Ben 10 Protector Of The Earth USA' will not load with the AKAIO loader says problem with the save ....works fine switching to the original AK4 loader

I think that would be an issue for the AceKard team themselves as no doubt that's something to do with the way the AK2i is programmed to work!

usually the console itself is responsible for the language in the MULTI language games like in the DS whatever the default language is set to it will use in the game ... not sure if its the same in the DSi ?!

Well, I don't know, so thats what I'm asking

.

The point is that the language in ds mode is set to default. Whatever default is in each and every game. You don't need to do anything to the DSi Mode language settings to get those in DS mode changed. So that's why I was wondering if there is a way to set that via the AKAIO menu

Use non-DMA mode on the b10pote

Did you try using the latest loader as well?

http://akaio.gbatemp.net/loaders/

If the latest loader does not fix the issue please log it on the wiki page for game compatibility

http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php/AKA...M_Compatibility

Please only log items here that are not fixed with the latest loader. Especially since the latest one fixes a lot of save game issues that people were experiencing due to a side effect from Bleach 2 support.

I can't get it to work (and Smiths was a total dick when I said so, lol), but I'll gladly try out their next release.

Finally, I have games on my microSD card working! Woooooooooo! I couldn't get it working with any of the 1.3 RC releases (even though it was supposedly fixed).
