OK, so this is odd.

I reformatted my NAND and AIO boots up, but only if my SDHC card is not inserted.

When I try to launch it w/the card in I get the frozen first screen with no skin.

My SD card is An A-Data 4g...maybe thats the problem, I dunno.

I havent tried to format my SD card yet, so I'll try to see if that helps. ?

edit:Well, I formatted my SD to fat32 with windows and with Panasonic, but to no avail.
AIO(r2) still wont boot with my SD card inserted, el lamo.
1.1 works though.

I have this same exact problem, but I have a 2GB Sandisk MicroSD card. (basic, no high speed or anything). I've reformatted both the NAND and the SD card with the same result. If I take out the SD card then it boots fine, but if I insert it, it boots to the BSOD (is that what we're calling it now?). I've formatted the SD card as both Fat32 and Fat16 with the same results.. I haven't tested the NAND in FAT16, as it doesn't appear to be related to the formatting of the NAND. If I put the original firmware (4.07-4.10) it works without a problem with that card.

Thanks for mentioning that 1.1 original works, I'm going to have to dig around and see if I can find it. I'll see if it works and report back.

P.S. I'm curious... what's the difference between r2 and original 1.1?

wow, didn't realize I already had 1.1 downloaded as well... heh. so I put it on and tested it and it works flawlessly (or at least the DS boots up without the BSOD on a fresh SD card - immediately after a clean format). I'm currently putting all the original files back onto the SD card to test if it will still work, but my guess is it should.

Prior to this, I tested the cheats on 1.1 r2 (without the SD card in, of course), and it downloaded and updated just fine, but every time I selected a game, then tried to open up the cheats menu, it gave me an error saying "Error Cheat file was not found". As I haven't changed anything in relation to a cheat file, I didn't add cheats.db or mess with usercheats.db, I don't see what's going wrong. Also, if I choose to rebuild, it effectively crashes the DS, and I see the S1 symbol flashing on the top of the screen.

*edit* tested a few more things... seems I can't get anything to work on the Cheats side.. trying to select cheats on most games either causes the previous error to occur, or a total crash of the DS.

yes the released r2 was my first attempt at a new detection method but that failed. when r3 is released there shouldn't be anymore problems with your ak2 being detected as an akrpg or vice versa.

Confirming, I have exactly the same problem. AKRPG with 4GB Kingston class4 MicroSDHC.

VatoLoco, thanks for the reply! The patch works. Anyway, I still want to use a 8MB save.

How come I can't download the cheats via Update DB. I only have AIO on my card, don't know if that's the problem or not. I have Download Play enabled. Or is there a problem with this feature.

That's extremely weird because I can use the Update DB just fine. :wtf:

Are you sure you have all your wifi settings right?
