are there any other things that happen with rudolph's patch or its just ap patch?

The patch should fix everything, but like I said the freezes you get in the custom DMA aren't anywhere near as common as the ones you got beforehand. If anything you won't even experience the freeze again.

im just reporting a game thats having problems and fyi im not a noob or a n00b or a nub and i dont fail to work things correctly like other noobs

i patched the clean rom i had with the rudolphs patch and it was patched
but i am still freezing when entering a battle/building and that 2 seconds of black screen loading turns into a freeze
it dont not happen at fixed time, it just happens when entering a battle/building
now what am i supposed to do
i already tried different dma modes
i already tried rudolphs patch
i already tried to format my sd card and then putting the game and akaio back on (but ill try it again)
and other things that i can try?


edit: i have to go somewhere for like an hour and a half
you guys can just post things to do and ill try them as soon as i get back

Soul Silver is working for me perfectly on AKAIO 1.7.

Make sure you're using the English patch. Though, I'm not even sure the Japanese patch would accept the English rom.

it keeps on freezing
i tried formatting (x5)
i tried downloading the rom from different source
i tried different dma modes

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO??
I REALLY WANT TO PLAY HEARTGOLD WITHOUT FREEZING

i got ak2i because everyone on the forum said that "akaio is the best at running heartgold and you will have no freezing and all cheats will run fine" and the first time i run heartgold im freezing
why???
can someone please help me

First of all don't triple post. Second of all, we've tried helping you but things we've told you on the first page you only just now tried (4 pages later).

The original DMA mode seemed to have worked. Did you try using it further after that one freeze you got after quite a bit of gameplay?

From what it sounds like you'll only need to save once every hour or so.

I'll let you in on a little secret. What's happening is the game freezes after so many "events". An event is something like entering a battle, going in/out of a house, etc.

Every time you get a new gym leader badge the amount of events before a freeze decreases.

This is with the AP not being patched, and the AP was patched for AKAIO long ago. So we have no idea why it's happening to you. You said that using the original DMA mode worked for a long while then it froze. So I would say just use the original DMA mode.

yea that dma mode and all of the dma modes work but they all freeze no matter what
one time u run on a dma mode it works for like an hour or so, the next time for like 10 mins, the next time for 1 min, the next time 3 mins
so its random and there is no good dma mode
