Hacking AK2i is dying - cheap/decent replacement?!

hey folks!

my AK2i is dying got often freezes/card got removed while playing. read in the forum that the support of the AK2i is somehow dead (last update was for dsi 1.4.4 and 3ds 4.3) read about the paper trick,but the card flush in so tightly in the dsi that no paper would fit,the card also runs now for years without the papertrick.

iam on the hunt for a cheap but descent replacement (im light gamer,playing the lego games at the moment) that runs comic book reader nice - wood firmware would be also nice! thanks in advance!

The r4ids.cn cart runs Wood (officially, unlike a bunch of clones using a hacked Wood 1.25 with the version number changed) and was considered the alternative to the Ak2i when the Ak2i was still suggested.
