I am 18 years old, and want to get an DS, but im afraid im too old to get one.

Age doesn't matter when it comes to the DS. You'll see people in their 60s playing it and most of they have bad eyesight! The DS is for any and everyone to enjoy.

Get a DS. You'll love it. Get that Midnight Blue DSi XL if you like big screens, too.

Pokemon, new super mario bros, GTA Chinatown wars, Dragon Quest IX. That's all I can think of right now, check out the threads that this forum has, there's a bunch of them for finding out some good games.

You seem to be really hung up on age...I'm almost 20 and I love good games, not just the über violent tough guy games.

Some of my favs:

DQ5, Pokémon, Chrono Trigger, TWEWY, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime, Professor Layton series...yeah.

Even if it's late, people still enjoy the DS, I'd still recommend it above the 3DS since it won't have many games to start with.

I suggest a DS Lite though -- that slot-2, properly equipped with a flash cart, is a beautiful thing to have. Beats the crap out of a silly little camera.
