Hacking after patch the ps3 takes me back to the xmb menu

     Press and hold the "Power" button on the front of the PS3 until it turns on and turns right back off. This is triggering recovery mode.
2. Release the "Power" button and hold it down again. When the PS3 beeps twice, release the "Power" button. The PS3 is in recovery mode. A recovery menu comes up.
   
   
3. Insert a mini-USB cable into the top of a Sony PlayStation 3 controller. Connect the other end of the mini-USB cable into one of the USB ports on the PS3.
   
   
4. Select "System Update" from the recovery menu. Select "OK" when asked if you want to install the software update file found on the USB flash drive. The 3.55 software is installed. Select "Restart System" to complete the procedure.

Well now that i did that it doesnt reconize my usb and its on "checking please wait" for a long time.

Sometimes this helps. Right when you select OK and it says "Checking please wait..." unplug the USB connecting the PS3 controller. Also make sure the flash drive with the firmware is in the right usb slot. PS3 checks that first.

Make sure this is your file layout for the usb drive:

PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP

I tried that i didnt work so i reflashed the console

Ok so here is the thing, on the video he wasn't suppose to have that error happen instead you was suppose to go back to the xmb menu. So i repatch my ps3 (because it was stuck on "checking please wait") i downlad the rebug 4.81.2 and it jailbreak because of the patch of the 4.81 firmware.

What do you mean it takes you back to the XMB? - what were you dumping, presuming your NOR?
