so im in the market for a new pc buying via amazon uk, im way out of touch when it comes to anything newer than ivy bridge 3570k and Q77 chipset.

i already have a 500w and 700w evga psu to hand and a gtx 970 and way too many cases that fit full atx mobos.

all i need is the best cpu, ram and motherboard within the budget of £348. unless upgrading my current pc is the better option for the money.

my current pc is i5 3570k 8gb ddr3 ram 5 bad sata 1 hdds under 250gb , intel DQ77MK motherboard gtx 970 gpu

im open to other uk shops if i get more bang for buck.

thanks in advance

What do you want to play/run that your current system can't handle?
Your platform is very outdated for upgrading. The 3570k is an almost decent processor in 2018. I think you should save your 348 pounds and wait till you have atleast twice or thrice of that.

Agreed, I would save to get a ryzen 2600, decent mobo and 16gb of high speed ddr4 (the speed is very important for ryzen).

Invest in a SSD. That’ll give you bigger performance gains than any CPU or RAM upgrade.

Personally, I would get a 250-500GB SSD and a 1-4TB HDD and consider using your old drives in a mirrored array for any slightly more important data.
